  • DD-8B
  • D-8
  • D-8LT

Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Rinse not hot enough
  2. Booster scale
  3. Tank not heating
  4. Door switch problems
  5. Fill or drain problems

The D-8B is a Blakeslee hood and door-type dishwasher with electric heat and a booster, and the DD-8B is the double version. The line also includes the D-8 and the D-8LT. The plate shows which one you own, and the letters matter when parts are matched.

When a D-8B rinses cool, we check the incoming hot water, then the booster and the tank heat. We also look at the fill and drain, the door switch and the wash arms. Scale from water collects on the booster and the heating elements and slows the machine.

Many D-8B machines are old and still working, and we warn you when a repair is not worth the cost. Give us the plate model on the call, and the cost is quoted first.

FAQBlakeslee D-8B and DD-8B Door-Type Dishwashers with Booster questions
What is the difference between D-8B and DD-8B?

The DD-8B is the double version of the D-8B. The data plate shows which you have, and we use it to confirm parts before we visit.

Why does my rinse run cool?

Cool incoming water, scale on the booster or a heating problem are the usual causes. We measure the rinse temperature and test each part. Tell us the plate model when you call.

Are older D-8 machines worth repairing?

Often yes. The cost comes first, and we tell you if a repair costs more than the machine is worth. We confirm parts before the visit.
