Repairs this series usually needs
- Er01 for a slow fill
- Er05 or PGM seven flashes for low water
- Er06 for a door that is not closed
- Er07 for a tripped pump overload
- Float switches and level probes that need daily cleaning
Douglas door-type pot, pan and utensil washers come as lift-door LD models and split-door SD models, from the LD-10 and SD-10 up to the LD-36 and SD-36. Variants include the LD-12-PT, LD-12-CPT and LD-20-PT. They hold from 10 to 36 sheet pans, use pumps of 5 to 15 horsepower and run cycles of 4, 6 or 8 minutes with a 30 second sanitizing rinse.
Older machines use the 1827 PC board with a PGM light that flashes codes, and newer ones use a digital touch pad that shows Er codes. The maker asks for daily cleaning of the float switches and level probes, since dirt can cause unintended heater start-up. We check those first, then the fill, the door and the pump overload.
We have a page for each code on this site. The price is in writing before the work begins.

How do I tell the older board from the newer one?
The older 1827 board shows codes as flashes of a PGM light. The newer digital touch pad shows Er codes on the display. The data plate and the control tell us which you have.
Why does the maker want probes cleaned daily?
Dirty float switches and level probes give wrong readings, and the maker warns that unintended heater start-up can cause a fire. Daily cleaning is part of safe operation.
What do the letters LD and SD stand for?
LD is a lift-door machine and SD is a split-door machine. The number after it gives the pan capacity, such as 36. Read us the plate when you call.
