Perlick back bar refrigeration includes the BBR and BBS coolers, pass-thru PTR units, SDBR and SDP, dual-zone DZS and direct draw DDC models. Examples are the BBR24, BBR96, BBS36C, BBS60, BSDZ60, DZS36 and SDBR48. Self-contained models carry an S and remote models an R.
These coolers work in some of the hardest conditions, with warm bar rooms, spilled drinks and constant door traffic. A dirty condenser, blocked louvers and a gasket that no longer seals are the main reasons a back bar cooler runs warm or runs without a break.
We check airflow, the condenser, the door and gasket, and the controller settings. Remote models also need a look at the remote refrigeration. We say plainly when a repair is not worth it.

What is a remote back bar cooler?
The compressor sits away from the cooler, often in a back room or outdoors. The bar cabinet stays quieter and cooler, but the remote system needs its own care.
Why is my cooler sweating?
Warm, humid bar air condenses on a cold cabinet. A worn gasket makes it worse. We check the seal and the room conditions around the cooler.
What does dual-zone mean?
The cooler holds two temperature zones, for example beer and wine. A second control and sensor manage the extra zone, so each zone needs its own check.
