Why does my dryer tumble but stay cold?
On a gas dryer it can be ignition, and on an electric one the element. A blocked exhaust can also shut the heat off, so we check the vent first.
What do OP and SH mean on the display?
They mean the temperature sensor circuit reads open or shorted. Most often a thermistor or its wiring is at the root, and we test the sensor and the connections before replacing parts, since a loose plug can look the same.
Do you repair gas coin dryers?
Yes. We shut off the gas before service, then check ignition, the exhaust and the control. If you notice a gas odor near a dryer, get everyone out and call the gas utility from outside, and do not run the dryer.
