The SG-40 and earlier SG machines are older Stero door-type washers. The SG-36 and SG-42 glasswashers share the display messages used by the SU line, such as Door Open, FILL ERROR, DRAIN ERROR and temperature sensor messages.
On an SG that cleans poorly or stops, we check the water supply, the door and the fill and drain first. Then we test the temperature probes and the level switch, and look for scale on the heating parts. Water makes scale and cloudy glassware common, so we advise on a delime routine.
These older machines still work in many kitchens, and we warn you when a repair costs too much. Parts get confirmed by plate model before the visit, with the cost quoted first.
