What does Eversys error code S-002 mean?
Each bean hopper on a Cameo sits on a base with a sensor that confirms it is present. The control checks that signal before it lets the grinder run, because grinding with the hopper off would spill beans into the machine. When the left hopper is not detected, the control stops the products that depend on the left grinder and shows S-002. Staff see a stop message where a drink should be. In most cases the hopper was lifted for a refill or for cleaning and not pushed fully back down, so seating it properly clears the message within seconds. A few things can keep a hopper from seating even when it looks right: beans or dust on the base, a small object trapped underneath, or a hopper base that is bent or worn. If the hopper is truly seated and the message remains, the position sensor or its contact is the next suspect. The control cannot distinguish a hopper that is missing from a sensor that fails to see one, so the check has to be done with the hopper in place. The message on screen reads S-002.
