What does Eversys error code E-014 mean?
An Eversys machine grinds beans for each drink, and its control board keeps watch over the grinder module. When the contact with the module is lost, the board shows E-014 and refuses any drink that needs fresh grounds. The cause is a connection or board input, not an empty bean hopper, and the machine may still power up normally, with the display lit and other functions listening. That can mislead staff into refilling beans, which does nothing for this code. The maker's list is short and physical: the grinder unit plug and cable, the board input that reads the grinder, bean dust or moisture at the connector, and cable wear after years of vibration. A grinder is the most vibrating part of the machine, so a plug there can work loose over time, and oily bean dust works into contacts. Staff can check the hopper lids and wipe the outside, but they should never open the grinder area, because the burrs are sharp, the motor can start, and the wiring is live.
