What does Eversys error code E-012 mean?
Eversys machines that steam and foam milk have a milk module, and the control board checks that the module is connected before it will serve any drink. When the board loses contact with it, it displays E-012 and switches the water pump off. The machine stops, instead of risking a half-made drink. Staff see the message appear and normal drink service end, not just milk drinks. What the code points to is a connection: the milk unit plug and cable, or the board input that reads the milk module. It does not say the milk is off, the tank is empty or the foamer is dirty. In a busy cafe, milk is the likeliest thing to be spilled on a connector, and the maker's list names damp or milk residue around the connector for that reason. Sugar and fat in milk leave a film that does not wipe off with a quick pass, and a film on a contact can interrupt the signal. Staff can look at the tank and tubing and wipe the outside of the machine, keeping liquid away from sockets, but the connector itself is for a technician.

How a technician diagnoses error code E-012
- Confirm E-012 and ask about spills or recent cleaning of the milk module.

- Replace the cable, module or board part that tests bad.
- Run milk and non-milk test drinks.
- The milk unit connector sits close to mains power and water.
