What does Eversys error code S-045 mean?
The drip tray catches spills and rinse water under the outlets. A sensor at the tray position tells the control that the tray is present, and the control refuses to dispense drinks that would drain onto the counter or into the machine if it is not. When the sensor does not see the tray, the display shows S-045 and the affected drinks stop. The tray has most often been pulled for cleaning and not pushed all the way back, so seating it properly usually clears the message at once. A tray that looks right but sits slightly out can still read missing, and coffee residue or dried milk where the tray rests can hold it out of place. If the tray is clearly in place and the message remains, the tray sensor is the next suspect, because the control cannot tell a missing tray from a sensor that does not register one. A cracked or warped tray may also fail to seat. Wiping the contact area is a safe operator step, and the rest is for a technician to test. The display reads S-045.
