Cissell OPL Dryer Error Code E iCn: Ignition Lockout
E iCn shows that the ignition control module on a gas dryer has locked out after it failed to get a good flame, so the drum tumbles without heat. Make sure the gas shut-off valve is open, restart once, and call us if E iCn returns. If you smell gas, leave and call the utility.

What does Cissell error code E iCn mean?
On gas Cissell dryers with the OPL control, such as the CT025L and CT030N, an ignition control module runs the lighting sequence. It opens the gas valve, glows the igniter and looks for a flame signal. If it does not see flame within its trial time, it closes the gas, and after repeated failures it locks out, a protection that stops it from sending gas into an unlit burner. The control then shows E iCn. The drum may keep tumbling, but there is no heat, and the module will not try again until power is cleared. The most common outside causes are a closed shut-off valve and an empty or interrupted gas line. Inside the machine, a weak igniter or damaged ignition cable, a gas valve that does not open, or a module or flame sensor that fails to prove the flame can all produce the same lockout. The display does not separate these, so a technician has to test each one.
