Code 09 DRUM OVERFILLED applies to coin-operated machines only. The mechanical level control, a second safety level system, tripped because water rose above the level that should already have produced code 07. Shut off the water and call a technician.

What does Electrolux Professional error code 09 mean?
Coin-operated Electrolux washers carry a second, independent level safeguard: a mechanical level control. Normally the electronic level system acts first and stops the fill with code 07. If water still rises above that point, the mechanical level control trips, and the display shows ERROR 009 / DRUM OVERFILLED. Reaching this second line of defense means the first one did not do its job in time. The manual lists the same four causes as for code 07: a blocked level hose, drops of water in the level tube, a defective filler valve and a defective electronic filler control. It sends the technician to code 07 for the steps, which are to blow through the level hose and to check the level control and the water valves in the service program. Because both systems failed to stop the water, the cause is taken seriously.
