What does Electrolux Professional error code 29 mean?
On WD models a Selecta II dryer unit is linked to the Compass control. The Compass CPU board talks to the internal Selecta II CPU board over a data link. When the Compass CPU detects an error in that link, it shows ERROR 029 / DRYER COMM. ERROR. The manual's checks are practical. The Selecta II display should be lit, which shows the board has power. The wires between the units should be good. Parameter 4:08 should be set to 1, meaning 2400 baud, and parameter 4:07 should be set to 1. The software should be updated in both boards, and if the message stays, the manual says to call service. The code does not appear on machines that have no Selecta II unit connected.
