What does Electrolux Professional error code 84 mean?
On a gas-heated dryer the control will not allow heat unless it sees a flame once the burner is told to light. The dryer program unit watches for that proof of flame. If none is detected, it closes the gas and shows ERROR 084 / NO GAS FLAME DETEC. The message therefore does not say why there was no flame. It could be that gas did not reach the burner, that the ignition failed, or that the flame was present and not sensed. The manual gives no causes and sends the technician to E 14 in the Selecta II manual. This is why the page covers only gas-heated machines. Staff see the drum tumble with cool air, then the cycle stops with the message, and some may smell gas near the machine.
