The Prodigy ELITE is the current Scotsman modular cuber, with model numbers that start with MC, such as MC0322, MC0630, MC1448 and MC2148, and X versions of each. The controller shows numbers and flashes on its code display and keeps the last ten codes in memory, which helps us see a pattern.

The maker rates the machine for air from 50 to 100 F, and a hot kitchen can reach the top of that range. Codes 1 and 2 are freeze and harvest time problems, code 3 is slow water fill, code 4 is high discharge temperature, and code 8 is short freeze.

We start with the water supply, scale and condenser airflow, then the sensors and sealed system, and we give a written price before any work.

Yes. It keeps the last ten, and a technician can recall them. That history shows whether a shutdown was a one-time event or a repeating problem.

What does a flashing code mean compared with a steady one?

A flashing number means the controller is retrying. A steady number means it has shut the machine down. Both are worth a call, but a steady number is more urgent.

Does the air limit matter?

Yes. The 100 F air limit is easy to reach in a hot kitchen or a closed room, which can cause high discharge temperature codes. Clear airflow helps.
