Repairs this series usually needs
- Refrigeration light steady or blinking one, two or three times
- Water light blinking twice for the inlet valve
- Both diagnostic lights on for temperature sensors out of range
- Harvest problems and high discharge temperature
- Scale and condenser dirt
The CME AutoIQ is an older Scotsman cuber, with models such as the CME256, CME506, CME656, CME806, CME1056 and CME1402, plus R versions with remote condensers. It uses AutoIQ lights instead of a code display.
The Refrigeration light steady means a probable refrigeration problem. One blink points to harvest, two blinks to no cubes sensed in harvest on later controllers, and three blinks to high discharge temperature. The Water light blinking twice points to the inlet valve, and both diagnostic lights on mean the temperature sensors are out of range.
We are upfront about age: many of these machines have worked for years, and we say plainly when a repair is not worth it. Tell us the model number and which lights are on, and we will plan the visit around them.

Yes. We repair CME machines and say honestly when the cost is not sensible for the age of the unit. Give us the model number and the light pattern when you call.
How do I reset it?
The maker lists pushing and releasing Off, then Freeze. If the lights come back, the cause is still there and we need to find it before the machine fails again.
What if both diagnostic lights are on?
That points to temperature sensors out of range. We test the sensors and the wiring before replacing anything, and we give you the price in writing first.
