The Combitherm CT Express is an older Alto-Shaam four-pan electric combi oven. Models appear as 4-10ESi, 4-10CCi or CTX4-10E, and some carry the VH ventless hood. It has the ExpressTouch control, built from a display board and a relay board.
Look for 4-10 followed by ESi or CCi, or CTX at the start of the model. The boards talk to each other, so after a board swap we see messages such as unit mismatch or software mismatch. Other calls are boiler fill, fan motor or condenser problems. On the older units we begin with the boiler and the boards.
The CT Express is an older line still in service. We repair it and tell you plainly when the cost is more than the oven is worth.

What does a software mismatch on a CT Express mean?
The display board and the relay board carry different software versions, often after an update stopped or a board was replaced. We load matching software and test the oven.
Why does the oven show unit errors after a repair?
If one board is set to Celsius and the other to Fahrenheit, the oven refuses to run. Changing the unit in the setup menu so both agree usually clears it.
Is the CT Express still repairable?
Yes. We repair the boiler, the fans, the probes and the boards on the CT Express, and we say plainly when an older unit is not worth the money. The price is written before work.
