Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Chemical sanitizer pump not primed
  2. Door cycle switch problems
  3. Tank not filling or draining
  4. Sanitizer weak
  5. Scale and film

The SD1 is a Stero door-type dishwasher that sanitizes with chemicals. It washes about 37 racks an hour on 120 volts and a 14 amp supply, and it starts a cycle from a door cycle switch. The maker recommends at least 140F incoming water, and chemical pumps are included.

When an SD1 does not sanitize, we check the canister and pump first, then the fill and drain and the door cycle switch. Sanitizing needs a 120F final rinse at minimum, so the incoming water matters. Water leaves scale and film.

Wear the gloves and eye protection the chemical maker calls for when you change canisters, and never bypass a chemical pump or the door switch. The quote is agreed before work starts.
