The JTX and JHX are Hubbell’s tankless electric booster heaters. They make hot water on demand, with no tank, and model numbers such as JTX011-2S, JTX008-2RS, JTX011-3R, JTX011-3T3 and JTX012-2RS carry the kilowatts and phase. The data plate gives the full model.
When a JTX gives weak hot water, we check the thermal protection, the contactors and the elements, then the flow against the rating. A tankless heater only works while water flows, so a flow that is too high or too low can leave the rinse cool. Scale in water cuts output.
Cut power to the heater at the breaker before anyone checks it. Do not reset any protection device yourself. The cost is stated in writing before work begins. Tell us the full model from the plate when you call, such as JTX011-2S.
