Repairs this series usually needs
- Hot and cool spots across the pans
- Gas oven that fails to light
- Control that is dark or reads wrong
- Door gasket wear
- Fan noise
The Doyon JA series is the Jet Air line of stationary convection ovens, from the 4 pan JA4 up to the 28 pan JA28 and JA28G. There are many configurations: B for base, SL for side loading, X and R variants, and G for gas. Both current and older units are in service bakeries and restaurants.
We check how the oven heats, then the convection fan, the burner or elements and the control. A fan that is noisy or slow shows up as uneven bakes. The door gasket and hinges wear with heat and daily use, and a sensor that drifts can make a control read wrongly.
With sizes from four pans to twenty-eight, the Jet Air range covers many kitchens. On a gas version, leave and call the utility if you smell gas. We give a written price first and say plainly when a repair is not worth it.

JA is Jet Air, the number is the pan capacity, B marks a base, SL marks side loading and G marks gas. Read the full number on the data plate.
Why is my oven uneven?
A slow fan, weak heat source or tired gasket are the usual causes, and we check them in order. Door hinges and seals are checked at the same time.
Do larger JA ovens need different checks?
The heat, fan and control checks are the same, but larger ovens have more burners or elements and more door wear. We plan the visit for the size.
