Matchbox, Conveyor and Shuttle Ovens
Ovention builds ventless impingement ovens, and we repair them in kitchens, cafes and convenience stores. The Matchbox M1313 plugs into a NEMA 6-30P outlet, while the larger M1718 is hard-wired. Both have two touchscreens and a slider. We also work on the Conveyor ovens C1400, C1600, C2000 and C2600, which come in single and split belt layouts, and on the Shuttle S1200 and S2000.
Simple Checks Before a Visit
A blank touchscreen is often as simple as the standby button being off, the main disconnect being off or the oven being unplugged, so check those first. A CHECK FANS light usually comes from a hot kitchen, dirty air filters or the cooling fans themselves. The same filters and fans are the first stop when an oven does not heat, along with a tripped high-limit temperature control. Food that cooks unevenly sends us to the setpoint and menu, then the jet plates and air flow. A slider that moves in jerks may have loose screws or a bracket, or software that does not match the oven.
These ovens are not waterproof or weatherproof, and the maker says never to use jet-clean spray on them. Grease buildup in the chamber should be cleaned only with the cleaner the maker approves, because other chemicals cause damage. Unplug a Matchbox or switch off the disconnect before cleaning.

Why is the screen on my Ovention Matchbox blank?
Check that the standby button is on, the main disconnect is on and the oven is plugged in. If the screen stays blank, call us and we will test the controls.
What does the CHECK FANS light mean on my Ovention?
It usually means the oven is running hot because of a warm kitchen, dirty air filters or a cooling fan problem. Clean the filters and let the oven cool. If the light returns, call us.
Can I pressure-wash or spray down my Ovention oven?
No. The oven is not waterproof and jet-clean spray can damage it. Use only the cleaner the maker approves, with the oven unplugged or the disconnect off, and call us if grease has built up.
