Taylor Freezers We Service
The Taylor C300 is a two-barrel slush freezer for frozen carbonated beverages, with a left and right barrel, an LCD and an audible alarm. It can be air-cooled or water-cooled. The C706, C707 and C709 are soft serve and heat-treatment freezers. The C709 keeps a history screen that stores many of its past problems, which helps us when we arrive.
On the C300 the display uses plain messages. Syrup Pressure Low, CO2 Pressure Low and H2O Pressure Low say a supply is out. The machine goes into Hold mode, and the alarm can be snoozed for 30 minutes, but the supply still needs attention. Beater Overload means the beater motor tripped on overload and the machine shut off. Chk Refrig Sys Psi means the compressor stopped on high head pressure, and a dirty condenser is often the cause. Thermistor Short and Thermistor Open point to the cylinder probes.
Cooling and Hot Kitchens
BRL Not Cooling appears when a barrel did not cool within five minutes in Auto mode, and BRL Temp 2 High means the product went over 120 degrees F and the machine shut down. We do not simply reset these messages and leave; we find the cause before the freezer goes back into service. The C300 is for indoor use, with normal ambient around 70 to 75 degrees F and reduced capacity as the room gets hotter, which matters in a Miami or Houston kitchen in summer. A water-cooled unit needs its condenser water connections, and supply pressure must not exceed 150 psi.
We check the condenser, the beater and the sensors, and tell you plainly when an older freezer is not worth the repair. The price is in writing before the repair starts, and the work has a 30-day warranty.
Taylor codes and alarms
What the display or the blinking light means, what is safe to check, and when to stop and call us.
Taylor lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
What does Beater Overload mean on my Taylor C300?
The beater motor stopped on overload and the machine shut itself off. We check the beater, the drive and the product in the barrel before we restart it, and we explain what we find.
Why does my C300 say Chk Refrig Sys Psi?
The compressor stopped on high head pressure. A dirty condenser or poor airflow is a common cause in a hot kitchen. We clean the condenser, test the refrigeration system and give you a written price first.
