Globe Mixers and Slicers We Service
Globe’s SP planetary mixers start with the SP05, SP08, SP10, SP20 and SP25 for bench and counter use. The floor line climbs from the SP30 through the SP40, SP60 and SP62P to the SP80PL, with manual or power bowl lift. For dough, the GSM130 and GSM175 are spiral mixers. These are mechanical machines with no display codes, so diagnosis comes down to testing switches, the motor and the drive.
For slicers we see the heavy-duty 13-inch S13 and SG13 families, the medium-duty G10 through G14, the lighter C9, C10 and C12, and the FS12 and FS14 flywheel slicers. Older Globe slicer series still work in delis, and we repair those as well.
Where We Look First
A mixer that will not start almost always sends us to the bowl guard or the bowl-position switch, then the timer and the motor. A motor that hums or trips on heavy dough points to overload, a worn gear or a bearing. Oil leaks and gear noise mean the transmission needs attention, and a bowl lift that binds needs cleaning and lubrication. On a slicer, a blade that will not turn leads us to the belt, motor or start switch, and a dull blade or a gauge plate out of adjustment explains uneven slices. We bring the likely parts and put the price on paper before touching the machine.
Globe lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Do you repair older Globe slicers as well as the current ones?
Yes. We service the current S13, G12 and C-series slicers and older Globe slicers still working in delis. When a machine is past saving, we say so before spending your money.
Why will my Globe mixer not start?
The bowl guard or the bowl-position switch is not closing, in most cases. We test both, then the timer and the motor, and give you the written price before replacing a part.
Do Globe mixers and slicers show error codes?
No. They are mechanical machines, so we find the cause by testing switches, the motor and the drive. A short description of what the machine does helps us bring the right parts.
