Garland Commercial Griddle Repair
We repair Garland gas griddles in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, including the GTG and GTGG lines. A griddle that will not light, or heats unevenly, is usually a pilot, burner or thermostat problem.
Common Garland griddles problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Griddle will not light
Plate heats unevenly
Thermostat does not hold temperature
Pilot goes out
Burners burn weak or yellow
Garland’s GTG and GTGG griddles are gas griddles built for restaurant kitchens that sear, grill and cook breakfast all day. The GTGG36-G36M is one model we service, and the same approach applies across the line.
When a griddle will not light, we check the gas supply, the pilot and the safety valve. If one part of the plate is cooler than the rest, we check the burner under that zone and the thermostat that controls it. A thermostat that does not hold its setting lets the plate swing between hot and cool, which burns some food and undercooks the rest. We also look at the plate itself, because grease and carbon buildup can create hot and cold spots.
Humid air encourages rust around valves, and daily cleaning helps prevent clogged burner ports. If you smell gas, leave the kitchen and notify the gas utility from outside. We tell you plainly whether an older griddle is worth a repair, confirm parts before the visit, and give a written price before any work. Our repairs include a 30-day warranty on our work.
