Jackson Glasswasher Error Code F9: Check Incoming Power
F9 on a Jackson Delta HT-E-SEER glasswasher means the control detected a problem with the incoming power to the wash heater circuit. The manual lists incoming power not properly connected, or L3 missing on three-phase machines.
High: the wash heater cannot work correctly without a complete supply.

What does Jackson error code F9 mean?
The wash heater circuit has its own supply check. When the control finds something wrong with it, the screen reads "F9 Service needed" with "Check incoming power". The manual lists two causes, incoming power that is not properly connected, or a missing L3 on three-phase machines, and two actions: check the connections to the heater, and verify that L3 is present and connected properly. This is the wash heater twin of F4, which names the booster heater. Seeing F9 alone tells you the booster circuit passed its check. Seeing both tells you the whole machine may be missing a leg. The manual does not give any voltage numbers for the supply, it does not say what the glasswasher does while the code shows, and it lists no reset. The part an operator can do is to look at breakers and disconnects, which sit outside the machine.

What you may notice
- Display reads F9 Service needed, Check incoming power
- Wash water that never warms
- Cycles that finish with cool, weak cleaning
Possible causes
Listed in Jackson's documentation
- Incoming power not properly connected
- L3 missing on three-phase machines
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code F9 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- A breaker that tripped on one pole after an overload on the same panel
- A loose lug at the wash heater from years of heating and cooling
- A machine reconnected after a move with one leg left off
Safe checks before calling for service
- Check the breaker and the local disconnect; reset only if both are safe to touch and dry.
- Do not remove panels or touch wiring.
- Switch the glasswasher off and on once and watch for F9.
- Tell the technician if F4 also appeared and whether the machine was moved recently.
How a technician diagnoses error code F9
- Confirm F9 and the rating on the data plate.
- Lock out and inspect the wash heater connections for tightness and heat marks.
- Verify L3 is present and connected on a three-phase supply.
- Measure each leg under load with proper protective equipment.
- Fix the connection and confirm the wash heats on a full cycle.
- High-amperage supply wiring can injure or kill if touched live.
- A missing leg looks like a dead heater unless measured.
- The heater terminals are inside the cabinet and need lockout.
How error code F9 differs from similar codes
F9 is the wash heater supply check. F4 is the same message for the booster circuit.

Related Jackson glasswasher error codes
What does F9 tell me if F4 is not showing?
Only the wash heater circuit is flagged, so the problem is more likely in its own wiring than in the main supply.
Is a restart enough?
Only when the problem was temporary. A tripped breaker or loose lug will bring F9 back.
Can I wash glasses cold?
The machine is signalling a heater supply problem, so we do not advise running it as normal.
