What does Newco Full Filter mean?
Many Newco brewers use a water filter to improve the taste of the coffee and to reduce scale. The brewer counts how much water has passed through the filter and compares it with the filter's capacity. When the filter has reached capacity, the control shows Full Filter (Filter Full) as a reminder. This is not a malfunction. It is an operator prompt, like a cleaning reminder. The manual lists one cause, that the water filter has reached capacity, and one action, to replace the filter. After a new filter is fitted, the reminder should clear. If it comes back right after a change, the reminder counter probably was not reset, or the wrong filter was fitted.

Safe checks before calling for service
- Check when the filter was last replaced.
- Replace the filter with the correct one and seat it fully.
- Run a flush of water through the new filter to clear air.
- Check whether the Full Filter message clears; if not, call for service.
- Write down the date of the filter change and the model of the filter for your records.
How a technician diagnoses Full Filter
- Read the display and confirm Full Filter.
- Check the age and part number of the filter fitted.
- Confirm the filter is seated and that water flows normally.
- Check how the filter counter is reset on this brewer.
- Reset it and confirm the message clears.
- Resetting the counter may need a service menu that holds the brewer's own settings.
- Water flow and pressure checks need proper instruments.
- If the message keeps returning, the control itself may be at issue, which a technician must test.
How Full Filter differs from similar codes
Full Filter is an operator reminder. The E-codes in the same table report problems in sensors, pumps, boards or the water system.
