What does Eversys error code S-004 mean?
A cleaning on the Cameo sends water into the grounds drawer, so the control wants it empty before it begins. If it is not, the display shows "Please empty the grounds drawer." as S-004. The maker's table says the drawer must be emptied before the cleaning can be started. It lists no failure cause. This is an ordinary operator step, and once the drawer is empty and back in place the cleaning can proceed. It differs from S-021 and S-025, which say the grounds are full during normal use. Here the machine is being careful before a cleaning that adds water to the drawer. The machine therefore pauses the cleaning, rather than fill an already full drawer with water and spill it.
