What does Alto-Shaam error code E106 mean?
The CT Express circulates cleaner with a cleaning pump during its cleaning program. A Hall effect sensor on the pump tells the control that it is actually turning. If the pump is not running, the control posts E106 Cleaning Pump Fault. The manual lists four causes: the pump motor is not energized, the pump has failed, there is a poor connection at the pump or relay board, or the Hall effect sensor wiring has a problem. Its actions are to check pump motor power, the pump, connections and the Hall effect sensor wiring. The code appears only when the cleaning cycle calls for the pump, so ordinary cooking is not named as affected. This number is specific to the CT Express controller. A related message, E107, covers the boiler drain pump with the same four causes, so a technician reads both when the pumps are involved.
