The DLCU has a mechanical level monitor that should be off whenever the drum is empty, which is the case at the start and end of a program. If the monitor is still on at those times, the board shows ERROR 053 / CPU/DLCU HIGHLEVELS. The manual gives the same figures as for code 28: the level controller switches on at 40 mm and off at 15 mm Wg, with 0 V below 15 mm Wg and 5 V above 40 mm Wg.
