Merrychef High-Speed Oven Door Open Message: Door Switch Checks
The Door open message is displayed while the oven door switches indicate the door is open. If it shows with the door closed, the manual says to check fuse F2, door switch adjustment, hinges and wiring. If fuse F2 is blown, the door switches are replaced.
Medium: the oven cannot start until the door switches read closed.

What does Merrychef Oven door open mean?
This is a plain message rather than a numbered code. The oven reads the door switches continuously, and while they report an open door, it displays Door open. That is normal whenever the door really is open. The case that needs attention is the message with the door closed. The manual points to the door switch circuit: fuse F2, the adjustment of the door switches, the hinges, and the wiring. Fuse F2 protects the switch circuit, so if it has blown the manual says the door switches should be replaced. Hinge wear can leave the door sitting slightly out of line so that the switches never fully close. The manual does not give a one-minute timing, so no fixed delay applies. The door switches are interlocks for the microwave, so the oven will not give microwave power until the circuit reads closed.
Affected models and control systems
Merrychef eikon e2s with the QTS touch screen and SRB relay board controller. Confirmed in the e2s service manual under Additional Errors.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.

How a technician diagnoses Oven door open
- Check the door alignment, hinges and latch.
- Check fuse F2 with the oven isolated.

- Run a test cook to confirm the message is gone.
- Door switches are safety interlocks on a microwave circuit and must be tested and adjusted properly.
