What does Eversys error code W-018 mean?
When a drink needs milk, the Cameo checks that the milk tank has some. If the tank has run dry, the control cannot deliver the milk product, aborts the one in progress and shows W-018. Staff see the warning at the moment a milk drink is being made. It is a refill prompt in nearly every case, and making a drink again after refilling usually clears it. The situation that needs a closer look is a tank that holds milk while the machine still reads empty. That points to the tank sensor, or to the milk tube not reaching the milk, for example when it has slipped out of the liquid or kinked at the lid. The cleaning status of the milk system can matter as well, because a residue from a cleaning cycle in the lines can affect what the machine senses. The control only knows that it detected no milk, so it cannot tell a dry tank from a sensor reading empty. Refilling with chilled milk, seating the tank, and wiping the lid are the operator steps. A technician steps in only if the warning appears with milk in place. The display text is W-018.

How a technician diagnoses error code W-018
- Confirm the tank is seated and the tube reaches the milk.

- Read the milk level sensor with the tank full and empty.
- Check the milk system for residue after cleaning.
- Replace the sensor or tube if it fails the test.
- When the tank is full and the warning stays, the cause is the tank sensor, tube or milk pump inside the housing.
- Testing the sensor needs the panel off and a meter on the signal.
- Milk lines must be handled to food-safety standards when they are opened.
