Blodgett Combi Oven Repair
We repair Blodgett combi oven-steamers in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, including BCM and BLCM manual-control models and BCT and BLCT touch-control models, electric and gas. Water quality is where we start.
Common Blodgett combi ovens problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Oven makes little or no steam
Error code on the control
Door seal leaks
Gas model will not ignite
Scale in the steam generator
Blodgett combi ovens cook with both steam and convection heat. The BCM and BLCM ovens use manual control with programmed cooking, and the BCT and BLCT use touch control. Models range from the BCM-61E and BLCM-101G to the BCT-202E and BLCT-102G, and they are electric or gas.
Steam and water cause the most trouble. Hard water, common in Houston, Los Angeles and San Diego, leaves scale in the steam generator, and scale cuts steam output and eventually stops it. We check the water supply, the generator and the controls, and we look at the scale. The boiler on the manual-control models can be flushed to remove scale, and we explain how often that makes sense for your water.
A door that leaks steam usually needs a new seal or an adjustment. On gas models that will not ignite, we check the gas supply, igniter and flame sensing. When the control shows an error code, we read it and test the circuit it points to.
We confirm parts before we arrive, give a written price before work starts, and include a 30-day warranty on our work. Older combis get a plain answer about whether repair or replacement is the better spend.

Why does my Blodgett combi make less steam than it used to?
Scale from hard water in the steam generator is the usual reason. A water supply problem is another. We inspect both and explain what flushing or parts would be needed.
How is a BCM different from a BCT combi?
The BCM and BLCM ovens have manual control with programmed cooking. The BCT and BLCT have a touch control. We repair both and confirm parts for your model.
Do you repair gas Blodgett combi ovens?
Yes. We service gas and electric combis. On gas models we check the supply, igniter and flame sensing. If you smell gas, go outside and report it to the gas utility.
