Cissell OPL Dryer Error Code EI0A: Infrared Framing Error
EI0A is an infrared framing error: the control expects each message to have a clean start and end, and the pattern was broken so it dropped the message. It clears with a power reset. Switch the dryer off at the disconnect, wait a minute, switch it back on, and note which device was in use.
Low: the message was dropped and drying is not affected.
What does Cissell error code EI0A mean?
Every infrared message to a Cissell OPL dryer, such as the CU030E, is sent as a frame, a block of data with a recognizable start and a recognizable end. The control uses those marks to know where a message begins and stops. If the beam is interrupted, or a signal arrives with the marks in the wrong places, the control cannot cut the data into a readable message. It drops the whole thing and shows EI0A. The error is about the shape of the signal, not its content, which sets it apart from a value that is out of range or a check number that does not match. Operators see EI0A during or just after trying to exchange data with the dryer. It clears with a power reset, and the dryer's heat and drum are not involved. The usual influences are the quality of the signal on the link, the device used, the control's receiver, and the stability of the power at the dryer.
