What does Electrolux Professional error code 17 mean?
At the start of a wash the CPU board expects the lock to be open until it commands it shut. It checks the locked-door input before sending that command. If the input already says locked, the board has a conflict between what it asked for and what it reads, so it stops and shows ERROR 017 / DOOR LOCK. This differs from code 03, where the lock failed to engage. Here the lock or its feedback appears engaged when it should not be. The manual points only at the door lock and its wiring, which means a lock that sticks in the closed position or a signal wire that is shorted or shows locked. Staff usually find that pressing start does nothing or that the message appears at the very beginning of the cycle.
