What does Electrolux Professional error code 58 mean?
The CPU sets a should-rotate bit when the drum is supposed to turn, and the tacho reports back with pulses once it does. If the DLCU sees the bit on for 2 seconds and no pulses arrive, the drum is not turning as commanded and the board shows ERROR 058 / SET SIGNAL NO TACHO. The manual lists a break in the tacho sensor circuits, a failed tacho magnet and collateral damage from a motor system problem. Only after the tacho sensor and motor system are proven fine does it point at the CPU. The order matters: the technician checks the tacho and the motor first, and changes the CPU only if the error returns after a reset. It differs from code 54, where pulses arrive without a command, and from code 45, which is the motor control reporting no tacho feedback after about 10 seconds.
