The vacuum switch should be open when the dryer fan is off and close only when air is flowing. The dryer program unit checks this at start. If the switch is already closed before the fan has run, the unit cannot trust it as proof of airflow, so it refuses to start and shows ERROR 086 / SHORT IN VACUUM SENS.
