What does Eversys error code S-012 mean?
S-012 is the general form of the empty-hopper stop. The brewing module sees no coffee powder in the chamber, so the control stops and shows "Bean hopper is empty or locked." without naming a side. The maker's table gives the same explanation and tells you to refill or unlock the bean hopper. On a machine with two hoppers, check both, because the message does not say which one. On a machine with one, it simply names that hopper. It tells you the machine tried to brew and got no ground coffee, which makes it more urgent than a low-level warning. Because the message names no side, the person at the machine has to look at every hopper to find the empty or locked one.
