What does Eversys error code W-034 mean?
The Cameo can brew a drink from ground coffee that is dropped by hand into a powder chute, which is how decaf or special blends are usually served. When such a drink is selected, the machine waits for powder and checks the chute for it. If it does not detect any, the display shows W-034 as a prompt and the drink waits. Almost always it is a handling matter, such as too little powder, powder that missed the chute, or powder added after the machine had already stopped looking. It is rarely a machine problem. Damp or clumped powder is worth a mention, because it can stick in the chute and never reach the brewing chamber, which then looks the same as no powder. The sensor in the chute is the only part that could be to blame, and it is a less likely suspect than the way the powder was added. Adding the amount the drink needs, using dry powder only, and pressing Continue on the display resumes the drink. A technician is needed only if the message returns even with powder clearly in the chute. The display reads W-034.
