A fan at the rear of the Cameo moves air through the cabinet so that the electronics and heaters do not overheat. The control notices when the fan is not turning and shows W-047. Staff see the warning while drinks continue, which makes it easy to ignore. A machine that cannot move air heats up inside, and the boards, connectors and pumps run hotter than they were designed for. Over weeks that shortens their life, and a machine in a warm back-of-house corner suffers sooner. The usual reasons are a plug that has loosened, a fan motor that no longer turns freely, a supply from the board that has dropped, or dust and grease on the fan and grille that stop it.
