What does Eversys error code W-058 mean?
The Cameo watches the temperature of the milk in the left tank continuously, and it has a limit above which milk is considered unsafe. If the milk has warmed above the allowed level, the control shows W-058. Staff see the warning and may find milk drinks from that tank limited. The owner's guide says to refill only with chilled milk, and that is the cause most often: milk poured in straight from a counter or a warm delivery pushes the reading over the limit. The tank cooling can also be the reason, if the tank is not seated properly or the lid is off, or if the machine does not have room for air to move around it. The left tank temperature sensor could be reading too high, but that is less likely than warm milk. The control cannot tell warm milk from a sensor that says so, so a technician checks the reading against a thermometer when cold milk still triggers it. Throwing away milk that has been out of the cold is the safe step. The display text is W-058.

How a technician diagnoses error code W-058
- Check the milk temperature in the tank with a reference thermometer.
- Inspect the tank seat, cooling path and airflow.
- Read the left tank sensor and compare it with the thermometer.
- Check the cooling system operation.
- Replace the sensor or repair the cooling that fails the test.
- If cold milk still triggers the warning, the tank cooling or its sensor has to be tested inside the housing.
- The cooling circuit runs on mains-powered parts.
- Milk above the allowed temperature is a food-safety concern, so the reading must be checked with a thermometer.
