What does Eversys error code W-068 mean?
Each grinder on a Cameo has a motor that turns burrs to crush beans. The control monitors how freely the grinder turns, and when it cannot turn, often because a stone, a hard object or compacted beans have jammed it, it shows W-068 for the left grinder. Staff see the warning and drinks from the left hopper stop. The machine first tries to free the grinder by itself, usually by reversing or pulsing the motor. Pressing Continue lets it try again with the hopper closed. Drinks from the other hopper may still be possible. The cause is usually something in the beans. A grinder setting that is too fine adds load and can pack beans, and in time a motor under heavy load shows the same message. If the automatic attempt does not work, the owner's guide says to set the grinder coarser and to remove beans or stones by hand, with the machine switched off. Anything beyond that, such as removing the burrs, is a technician's job. If W-068 returns, call us. The display text is W-068.

How a technician diagnoses error code W-068
- Read the history for W-080 following W-068.
- Power down and inspect the hopper and grinder for objects.
- Turn the grinder by hand and feel for binding.
- Check the motor current under load.
- Inspect burrs for chips and wear.
- Replace burrs or motor only after the test.
- The grinder has rotating burrs, and a hand or tool inside can be badly hurt.
- Taking a grinder apart and checking the burrs needs the power isolated.
- A jam that returns can point to damaged burrs or a weak motor, which take a current reading to separate.
