Rancilio Espresso Machine Error Code E10: Group 2 24 V Short Circuit
E10 on a Rancilio Classe 11 reads Short circuit 24V group 2: the 24 V supply of brew group 2 is shorted. The manual gives no operator remedy, so switch the machine off and contact a Rancilio service technician.
High: an electrical short on a group circuit needs the machine off and a technician.

What does Rancilio error code E10 mean?
The second brew group on the Classe 11 has its own 24 volt supply for the parts that switch water and coffee flow. The control monitors that supply, and when the current jumps far above normal, it cuts power to that group to protect the board and shows E10 Short circuit 24V group 2. The wiring and coil are the usual suspects: a solenoid coil that has failed inside, a lead worn through where it passes metal, or moisture in a connector. Group 2 may stop working until the short is found, while the other groups can keep running. The manual lists the code with no operator step. Because the cause is electrical and the machine is wet and hot, an operator should not search for it.
