WMF Automatic Coffee Machine Error Code 9619: Left Grinder Blocked

What does WMF error code 9619 mean?

The grinder motor draws more current when something stops the burrs from turning. The control watches for that rise and for a stalled motor. When the left grinder cannot turn, it stops using it and reports code 9619, so drinks that use the left side cannot be made. Staff see the code and the missing drinks. Typical blockers are a stone or other hard object that came in with the beans, beans that have packed together in the grinder, or a grind that is set too fine and works the motor harder. Worn burrs and a tired grinder motor can contribute. The owner's manual gives the same hopper-side steps as for the right grinder: take off the hopper, turn the grinder disk counterclockwise with the multitool made for the job, clean the hopper and switch on again. Never use fingers or other tools near the burrs.
