Wascomat Coin Laundry Washer Error Code 01: No Water
Code 01 on a coin-operated Wascomat washer means the drum did not reach the program's fill level within the allowed time, normally 10 minutes. Check that the water supply valves are open, then reset the machine. If the code returns, take the washer out of service and call us.
Medium: the washer cannot complete a paid cycle until the fill problem is fixed.

What does Wascomat error code 01 mean?
Coin-operated washers in a laundromat depend on a fill step that finishes on time. The Compass control runs a timer while the drum fills, normally about 10 minutes but dependent on machine type and software. If the level system has not reported the programmed level when the timer ends, the control stops and shows ERROR 001 / NO WATER. The manual lists five causes: a blocked filler valve, a defective filler valve, a break in the cable to the filler valve control board, a defective valve control board and a leaking level system. It tells the technician to check the filler valve, the valve control board, the cable to it and the level system. In a shared laundry, a closed shared supply valve or a pressure drop during peak use can also slow the fill, though the manual does not list those.

What you may notice
- The customer's load sits in an empty or barely filled drum
- ERROR 001 / NO WATER shows and the cycle ends
- Coins or payment are taken but the wash never starts
- The machine hums at the inlet but little water arrives
Possible causes
Listed in Wascomat's documentation
- Blocked filler valve
- Defective filler valve
- Break in the cable to the filler valve control board
- Defective valve control board
- Leaking level system
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code 01 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- A shared supply valve for the washer row that was closed after plumbing work or cleaning
- Low water pressure at peak times when many machines fill together
Safe checks before calling for service
- Check that the supply valves for the washer are open and that no hose behind it is kinked.
- Ask whether other washers in the row are also slow to fill, which points to the building supply.
- Reset the machine as the attendant and try one program.
- If it returns, put an out-of-service sign on the washer and tell us the program, the fill level reached and how many machines were affected.
How a technician diagnoses error code 01
- Read the code and history and check how the failure relates to the machine's fill.
- Confirm water pressure at the machine inlet and clean the inlet screens.
- Test the filler valve and the supply to it.
- Check the cable to the valve control board and the board output.
- Inspect the level system for leaks.
- Replace the failed part after it fails its test.
- The valve control board and filler valves carry mains voltage behind the panels.
- Separating a supply issue from a machine issue needs pressure and meter readings.
- A washer that may flood needs a technician and not a workaround.

What about customers who paid for the cycle?
That is for the laundromat owner to decide. The machine cannot finish the cycle until it is repaired.
Is it the building water supply?
It can be. If several washers fill slowly, check the supply first.
Is it the same as code 07?
No. Code 01 is too little water, and code 07 is too much.
