Wascomat Coin Laundry Washer Error Code 03: Door Lock Fail
Code 03 on a coin-operated Wascomat washer means the door lock did not lock in time after start, or the locked-door switch reported unlocked mid-cycle. Make sure the door shuts fully and try once. If it repeats, take the washer out of service and call us.

What does Wascomat error code 03 mean?
After payment, the Compass control tells the door lock to engage and gives it a set time to confirm that the door is locked. If the confirmation does not arrive in time, the control cancels the cycle and displays ERROR 003 / DOOR LOCK FAIL. The code also appears if the locked-door switch reports unlocked at any point while the program is running. In a laundromat, a door that is closed a little crooked or loaded with a hanging strap can keep the latch from reaching the lock, but the manual lists three electrical and mechanical causes: a bad or defective door lock, a loose cable to the lock, and a problem with the lock's edge connection. Its steps are to check the lock, its cable and the edge connection. The control never spins the drum on an unconfirmed lock.
