The Enigma and Shotmaster family is the Eversys line with a left and a right coffee boiler. You will see the names Enigma and Shotmaster on the machine, and the models e’2 and e’4 belong to it. The display reports problems as E messages, and two of them, E-017 and E-018, tell you which side overheated.
Our first checks on this line go to the boilers on each side and the water reaching them, then to the steam boiler. Messages about a unit not being connected usually lead us to a plug, a cable or a board input, and display messages lead us to machine type and software.
Plenty of these machines are past their warranty and still busy. We take on that work, quote it on paper beforehand and tell you if an older unit is better retired.

What do E-017 and E-018 mean on an Enigma?
E-017 is the left coffee boiler overheating and E-018 is the right one. The machine goes to standby either way. Let it cool and tell us which message came first.
What is the difference between an e'2 and an e'4?
They are machine types within the line. The type has to match on the display, or you may see E-096 on the right display. We set the correct type when needed.
Can you repair an older Enigma?
Yes. Machines of this family come to us for repair at any age. The cost is quoted in writing ahead of the work, with an honest opinion on whether an older unit is worth it.
