Lang Oven Models
Restaurant kitchens everywhere run Lang electric convection ovens. The ECOD-AP and ECOF-AP are full-size ovens with a computerized control and a probe. The ECCO line, including the ECCO-AP, ECCO-C, ECCO-PP and ECCO-PT, offers computerized or touch controls with a manual override, and the ECO-7M and ECOF are also in service. Many of these ovens are older, and a well-kept one can keep baking for years with the right parts.
How We Troubleshoot Without Error Codes
These ovens do not rely on a list of display error codes, so we work from what the oven is doing. If the power light stays off, we test the outlet, the cord, the switch and the indicator light. If the oven will not heat, we check the probe, the circuit board, the contactor, the over-temperature thermostat and the elements. A motor that will not run sends us to the transformer and the motor. Food that burns or comes out undercooked often points to the probe or the circuit board. When a computer control stops responding, the manual backup lets us tell a control problem from a heating problem.
Heat and kitchen humidity wear on door gaskets and electrical connections, so we look at both on every visit, along with the fan, the heating elements and the door switch. We confirm parts before we arrive, give a written price before any work, and cover the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Lang lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Does my Lang oven show error codes?
The ECOF-AP does not list display error codes. We work from what the oven is doing and test the probe, board, contactor and elements in turn.
My Lang oven will not heat. What should I check?
Make sure the oven is plugged in, the switch is on and the breaker has not tripped. If it still will not heat, call us and we will test the probe, board, contactor and elements.
Can you repair an older Lang ECCO oven?
Yes. We service the ECCO series along with the ECOD-AP and ECOF-AP. If parts are hard to find or the oven is not worth repairing, we tell you before any work.
