Douglas Washers We Repair
Douglas door-type washers handle sheet pans, pots and utensils in busy kitchens and bakeries. We repair the LD-10, LD-20 and LD-36 lift-door models, the SD-10, SD-20 and SD-36 split-door models, the pan-tracking LD-12-PT, LD-12-CPT and LD-20-PT, and the SD-36-BW. Capacity runs from 10 to 36 sheet pans, with pumps from 5 to 15 horsepower and cycles of 4, 6 or 8 minutes plus a 30 second sanitizing rinse. Booster heat is electric, gas or steam. We also repair the 1536-B, 1536-SPW-9, BW-1000, STW-2000, BDW-1 and UTM-10.
The controls have changed over the years. Timers were used on machines built before 1996, the 1827 PC board arrived in 1999 with a PGM LED that flashes a count, and the 3125 touch pad, later the 5072, shows Er codes. Er01 means the fill took too long, Er05 means too little water, Er06 means the door is not closed, and Er07 means a pump overload tripped.
Probes, Pumps and Daily Care
Float switches and level probes need cleaning daily to prevent unintended heater start-up. When a machine reports low water, a dirty probe is the first thing we check. A machine should not sit idle for more than four hours with water in the tank. We also test pumps, door switches and heat.
Nothing starts until you have the price in writing, and our work carries a 30-day warranty.
Douglas Machines codes and alarms
What the display or the blinking light means, what is safe to check, and when to stop and call us.
Douglas Machines lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
What does Er01 mean on my Douglas pot washer?
Er01 means the machine took longer than allowed to fill. Low incoming water pressure or a drain valve left open are the usual causes. Press Stop to clear it, check the valve and supply, and call us if it returns.
What should I do when my Douglas washer shows Er07?
Er07 means the pump overload device tripped. Turn the machine off and let it rest, then call us. We test the pump motor and the reason it overloaded before the machine goes back to work.
Why does the PGM light flash on my Douglas board?
On the 1827 board, the PGM LED flashes a count, such as one flash for a fill that never reached the level probe. Count the flashes and call us with the number, and we plan the visit.
