Turbo Air Commercial Refrigerator Repair
We repair Turbo Air M3, PRO, TSR and J-Series reach-in refrigerators in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego. We find the cause, explain it plainly and quote the price in writing before any work begins.
Common Turbo Air reach-in refrigerators problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Cabinet warm, compressor working constantly
Display showing Hi or Lo
Evaporator ice-up with D1 code
Door alarm chirping
Compressor not restarting after outage
The Turbo Air refrigerators we service include M3R reach-ins, PRO Series, TSR Super Deluxe, and the TUR, JUR, MUR and EUR lines. The M3 and PRO controllers use up and down temperature buttons, while the TSR uses an 88 LED controller with separate sensors for cabinet air and defrost.
When the cabinet is warm and the compressor never shuts off, a dirty condenser coil is the usual cause. Self-cleaning condenser models need less attention but still collect grease. If the coil is clean, we move on to the door gaskets, the evaporator fan and the sensors. A D1 code points to a defrost sensor problem, and the cabinet may ice up if defrost does not end.
After a storm or an outage, the compressor waits three minutes before it restarts, so we give the cabinet a moment and then check the start parts and voltage. TSR cabinets also have an error display mode that lets us read what the control has stored. For older units we give a plain recommendation on repair or replacement, with a written price.

The door has been open more than 30 seconds, or the switch or gasket is not doing its job. Close the door fully first. If the chirp stays, we test the switch and seal.
Can I defrost my Turbo Air refrigerator manually?
On TSR and TSF cabinets you can press the manual defrost button for about five seconds. If frost returns quickly, we check the sensor and heater.
How often does Turbo Air defrost a refrigerator?
TSR refrigerators defrost at selectable intervals of 24, 36, 48 or 60 hours. We confirm the setting suits your use when we visit.
