Victory Models We Repair

Victory cabinets are common in restaurant kitchens. We service the RS and RSA reach-ins in one to three sections, RIS and RISA roll-ins, RFS refrigerator-freezers, DRS dual-temperature cabinets, ACRS single-section reach-ins and the VERSA line. Undercounters and worktops include the VUR, VWR and LSR models, and we also handle CBR chef bases and VPP and VSP pizza and sandwich prep tables. Heated HS and HIS holding cabinets sit in the same manual family.

Older Victory cabinets from around 2010 have their own digital controller, with codes such as E1, E4, E5, E6, Ulo, Uhi and E13. Many still work, and we repair them when the cabinet is worth it.

What the Controller Is Telling You

Newer Victory cabinets use hydrocarbon R-290 refrigerant, so sealed-system work is for a technician. The controller shows Hi or HI for a warm cabinet, dor or OPd for a door left open, and E codes for a probe that has stopped reading. When a probe fails the cabinet keeps running in a fallback mode, which can hide the problem until product warms.

A cht or CHt alarm means high condensing temperature, usually a dirty coil. Kitchen grease and heat get a coil there fast, whether the heat is humid, as in Miami and Houston, or dry, as in Los Angeles and San Diego, so a monthly look at the condenser is worthwhile. EHI and ELO mean the supply voltage is out of range, which we see after outages and on shared circuits. We check the coil, gaskets and probes first, then the voltage. You get a written price and a 30-day workmanship warranty.

FAQVictory questions
What does a cht alarm mean on a Victory cabinet?

It signals a high condensing temperature, most often from a dirty condenser coil. Turn the cabinet off and clear dust if you can reach it safely, and call us if the alarm returns.

Can you repair an older Victory VR cabinet?

Yes. Victory reach-ins from the 2010 era are still in service, and we repair them. We say plainly when the cost is not worth it.

Why does my Victory cabinet show EHI or ELO?

Those alarms mean the supply voltage is high or low. A shared circuit or an outage can cause it, and we check the voltage before blaming the control.
