Common True reach-in refrigerators problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Cabinet warm after loading product
High temperature alarm will not clear
Door alarm with the door shut
Probe error code on the display
Compressor cycling on and off after an outage
True makes its refrigerators in many shapes, and we see most of them: T-Series and TS reach-ins with one to three sections, TSD sliding-door cabinets, TUC undercounters, TWT worktops, TRCB roll-in and roll-thru units, and the Spec Series STR, STA and STG. A lot of the cabinets we open are older ones whose model numbers have no -HC ending.
The electronic control reads an air probe and a coil probe. When a loaded cabinet drifts warm, it raises the high temperature alarm. In a busy kitchen the cause is most often a condenser coil caked with grease and dust, or a door that no longer seals, so those are the first two things we look at. If the alarm sounds with the door shut, we test the door switch and the gasket next.
A probe code on the display gets a measurement, not a guess: we compare the probe against the resistance chart. A compressor that short-cycles after a power loss gets its start parts and supply voltage checked. When a cabinet has lost its cold more than once, we go over repair and replacement with you honestly.

Yes. Solid and glass door T-Series cabinets use the same cooling parts, so the checks are much alike. Read us the model number from the label and we plan parts before the visit.
Why does my True refrigerator alarm when the door is closed?
A door switch that sticks or a gasket that no longer seals is the first thing to suspect. We test both.
Can I keep food in a True cabinet that keeps cycling?
Check the thermometer inside. If the cabinet stays warmer than your safe holding temperature, move the food to another cooler and call us so we can look at the compressor.
